While broadcasting the vice-presidential debate, Brian Williams announced that the moderator, Gwen Ifill, had suffered a “bad ankle break while doing research for this debate.”
Unless she has one of those treadmill desks, it’s hard to understand how Ifill’s research led to an ankle break. Was she jogging to a library? Scaling a tall book shelf?
