Poor Jesse! Here we thought the underdog had won the beauty, beating out Graham the model and Jeremy the attorney.

But Jesse Csincsak posted a video yesterday announcing that ABC’s Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas had dumped him. It’s been viewed hundreds of thousands of times — how awkward. And to make things worse, we’re going to point out a grammatical error the teary bloke made in his 1-minute video.

“I kind of feel like it’s our responsibility to tell you that we’re not together anymore,” the somber snowboarder said.

Here’s the deal. Like works when it links to a noun. DeAnna dropped Jesse like a bad habit. He cried like a baby. But when you’re linking to a verb, a conjunction is needed.

Jesse should’ve said, “I feel as though it’s our responsibility to tell you that we’re not together anymore.”

Failure to use a conjunction = a deal breaker. Sorry, Jesse!
